Bore Inspections/Verification & Telemetry Systems

Telemetry Systems:

Harris Pumps offers advanced telemetry options that enable real-time monitoring and remote management of water and wastewater systems. These systems use cellular, satellite, or radio communication to transmit critical data such as flow rates, pressure, tank levels, and pump performance. Users benefit from improved operational efficiency, early fault detection, and reduced maintenance costs. Telemetry allows for faster response times, proactive maintenance, and better compliance with environmental regulations. With customizable alerts and data logging, Harris Pumps' telemetry solutions provide peace of mind and smarter resource management, making them ideal for council required irrigation consents, agricultural, and industrial applications seeking reliability and innovation in pump monitoring. Bore Inspections:

In Hawke’s Bay, all groundwater bores—whether for domestic, stock, industrial, or irrigation use—require proper inspection and ongoing maintenance under Regional Council rules. This includes:

  • Bore security inspections to confirm sealed casing, raised head, concrete apron, and backflow protection—preventing surface water ingress and aquifer contamination.

  • Annual water testing for private bores used for drinking: tests for E. coli, coliforms, arsenic, and other drinking-water contaminants.

  • Resource consent requirements: drilling a bore or altering it requires a bore permit, which includes conditions for inspections, record-keeping, and structural integrity.

So, if you own or operate any bore in Hawke’s Bay, you must ensure it’s inspected, water-tested, and compliant with council permits and security measures. Since inception Harris Pump & Filtration has been a qualified Blue Tick Accredited and Council Approved Service Provider for bore inspection reports.
